The final Friday night for The Platypus Pub — tonight!
It’s no secret that the dual businesses of the Platypus Pub and The Brew Shop (homebrew beer supply store) are being evicted from their building, the semi-historic former church-turned-series-of-restaurants, and the end of March is when they have to be out. (Previous posts on the story here, and here.)
Sadly, the owners have so far been unable to find a new location to move to, so the Platypus has been winding down and tonight (Friday, March 6) they posted that it will be the final Friday night open:
I know it’s First Friday out there, but tonight will be our Final Friday open to the public. It’s been a real pleasure being part of your lives over the years. The friends, the memories, the ghost in the Ladies’ room. Come on down and see Tess tonight from 4:30 until closing. Come give this old place some Final Friday love.
We’ll be open tomorrow, but we’d love to see you tonight.
Sorry for the late notice—and the Pub will be open on Saturday (tomorrow)—but if you wanted to enjoy a final few beers at the Platy, tonight’s a good time to do so!
