McMenamins High Gravity Brewfest this Saturday, Jan. 19
The 6th annual High Gravity Brewfest takes place at McMenamins Old St. Francis School this Saturday, January 19. This is a fun favorite beer event of January and features all strong (or high gravity) beers and ciders, from a bunch of McMenamins breweries as well as guest breweries. In past years, the guests have all been local Central Oregon breweries, but this year the fest has expanded to include others, as well as added some exclusive collaboration beers you won’t find anywhere else.
Hefty, powerful, bold. BIG. However you describe high-gravity beers, these extraordinary brews are intensely flavorful – and we’ll be sampling plenty of them, plus unique ciders from Pacific NW breweries and cideries. And you’ll definitely want to try a brand-new collaboration series of featured beers by McMenamins Old St. Francis brewers & friends. Linger by the outdoor fire, listen to live music and taste the night away!
Live Music: Father Luke’s Room
The Cutmen • 3 – 6 pm
The Quick & Easy Boys • 7 – 10 pm
The brewfest takes place from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and costs $25 for the tasting package, which gets you the glass and 12 tokens. Additional tokens are $2 each, and if you only want a glass that costs $5.
There will be more than 30 beers and ciders pouring, and there is full list of what will be available here. Also keep an eye out in tomorrow’s Bulletin GO! Magazine for a longer article I wrote about the festival.
