Central Oregon Resilience IPA Brewfest, Jan. 5 – volunteers needed
The official press release will be coming out early next week, but the Central Oregon Resilience IPA Brewfest will be taking place on Saturday, January 5 at the Les Schwab Amphitheater. Resilience IPA is a charity beer started by Sierra Nevada Brewing in California in response to the devastating Camp Fire that tore through Butte County last month. 100% of the sales proceeds from the beer is being donated to the Camp Fire Relief Fund, and so far over 1,400 breweries from around the country have brewed this fundraising beer.
Including most of Central Oregon’s breweries, and on the 5th, 19 of them (at current count, and this might increase) will come together to pour their respective versions of Resilience IPA from 2 to 8pm. And, Ken Grossman, the founder and CEO of Sierra Nevada Brewing, will be coming to Bend with his team and bringing kegs of Sierra Nevada’s IPA to pour as well.
The goal of this brewfest is to donate 100% of the proceeds to Camp Fire relief. To help maximize that, they will need volunteers — at least 60 of them! Ali Burke, Associate Marketing Manager from Deschutes Brewery, reached out to me with details:
I’m looking for volunteers to help with keg load on Friday afternoon, and setup Saturday morning as well as actual pouring execution 1:30-8:30pm on Saturday 1/5.
If you would be willing to volunteer at this brewfest to help out a good cause, you can contact Ali directly at ABurke -at- deschutesbrewery -dot- com or call 541-385-8606.
