Bend City Council meeting minutes for Mar. 2, 2017
The first Bend City Council meeting of the month was last night (March 1), and the City issued the minutes late last night. As I posted last time, you can download the Microsoft Word document of those minutes here, and here are some highlights:
- Visitor comments were all over the board, touching on marijuana licensing, potholes, tree preservation, and the purchase of the Wall Street doctor’s office.
- They re-opened the public hearing to “consider requiring large non-residential land users to do a master plan and consider residential density in the residential districts” — this would be an amendment to the Bend Development Code but I’m unfamiliar with the history behind this. It was a 4-3 split among Councilors for favoring the motion for a first reading of the Ordinance (4 in favor).
- There will be a 14th Street reconstruction project taking place at some point.
- They had a second reading on the “Uber Code” for the Bend code — it’s moving forward.
