The first Bend City Council meeting of the month was last night (March 1), and the City issued the minutes late last night. As I posted last time, you can download the Microsoft Word document of those minutes here, and here are some highlights:

• Visitor comments were all over the board, touching on marijuana licensing, potholes, tree preservation, and the purchase of the Wall Street doctor’s office.
• They re-opened the public hearing to “consider requiring large non-residential land users to do a master plan and consider residential density in the residential districts” — this would be an amendment to the Bend Development Code but I’m unfamiliar with the history behind this. It was a 4-3 split among Councilors for favoring the motion for a first reading of the Ordinance (4 in favor).
• There will be a 14th Street reconstruction project taking place at some point.
• They had a second reading on the “Uber Code” for the Bend code — it’s moving forward.
