Barrio is moving – around the corner
Good news for fans of Barrio in downtown Bend: they are moving to a bigger space on Wall Street. John Anderson (the Bulletin’s travel and restaurant review writer among other things) wrote on Facebook:
Bend friends: If you haven’t heard, Barrio is shutting its doors on Feb. 20 … for a week. On Feb. 29, if all goes well, it will reopen in the former Sweet Saigon (and, long ago, Hans) space on Wall Street, with twice the interior space and a large deck for summer. Steven Draheim, congratulations! Tan Vo, you have a worthy successor, and I’ll continue to see you at Pho Viet.
That formerly-Sweet Saigon space has seen some traffic in recent years, also housing Amalia’s and Ciao Mambo. Good to see Barrio successful enough to be able to take it over.
