Hood River-based Pfriem Family Brewers, best known for brewing acclaimed Belgian-styled beers, has recently started bottling a number of their beers and have been traveling around the state doing special tasting events—and this week they are in Bend.

Here is their schedule:

• Wednesday 4/22: Crow’s Feet Commons, 5 to 8pm
• Friday 4/24: Broken Top Bottle Shop, 5 to 8pm
• Saturday 4/25: Newport Avenue Market, 3:30 to 5:30pm
• Saturday 4/25: Platypus Pub, 6 to 8pm

Among beers they have bottled and that I would expect to see pouring include their Pilsner, IPA, Blonde IPA, Begian Strong Dark, Belgian Strong Blonde, Saison, Flanders Red and Flanders Blonde.

If you’ve not yet had a chance to try any of the Pfriem beers, this week is a great time to get out and sample them at one of the events listed above—I can attest that they brew some amazingly good beer, and I’ve been hearing raves about those new “Flanders” beers. Make sure to sample some!
