The Indigo Girls are at the NWX Hullabaloo this year
The 7th annual NorthWest Crossing Hullabaloo kicks off tomorrow (Friday the 27th) starting at 4pm (though the Kids’ Crit starts at 3:15). Don’t know what the Hullabaloo is? Here’s the short blurb:
The Hullabaloo is a celebration as unique as its name. This unofficial kickoff to summer features food, fun, music, bike races and more, all in a friendly, street festival atmosphere. It’s a party and everyone is invited!
Music is the main draw and this year’s headlining artist is The Indigo Girls! They will take the main stage at 9:30pm to close the night. Here’s the full music lineup:
- Franchot Tone, 4pm
- MOsley WOtta, 5:30pm
- Redwood Son and Laura Invancie, 7pm
- The Indigo Girls, 9:30pm
There will be a kids’ zone, a kids’ stage featuring magic and a reptile exhibit and more, and the NWX Criterium bike races starting at 4:25. And there will be food and drink too, of course.
And, parking and transportation: because they are closing off the main streets around the area, NorthWest Crossing is encouraging folks to ride their bikes in, or ride a free shuttle. Here’s what they say about it:
As a sustainable community, NorthWest Crossing would like to encourage Hullabaloo-goers to consider alternative forms of transportation. For neighbors who bike to the festivities, there will be ample bike parking available next to La Rosa; just be sure to bring your own lock!
The Bend Tour Company bus will be offering FREE shuttle service, 6pm – 11pm to and from downtown Bend. Pick-up/drop off site is 900 Wall Street in downtown Bend at the top and bottom of every hour, and by La Rosa in NWX roughly a quarter past or quarter till each hour.
We understand that sometimes, a vehicle is necessary. Parking is available at Summit High School, as well as street parking. We ask that you be considerate of our residents and their landscaping when parking on the street, taking care not to block driveways.
If you’re an old fan—or a new one—of The Indigo Girls, then make sure to be down there Friday night! Because it’s an open-air festival it’s entirely free, so don’t miss out!
