Broken Top Bottle Shop’s 2nd anniversary
It was Tuesday, February 4, 2012 that Broken Top Bottle Shop opened their doors, transforming the previous Abbey Pub space into a new beer bar with a focus on community, good beer, and good, healthy and vegetarian food, and since that day two years ago they have become such an integral fixture on Bend’s west side that it’s hard to remember a time they weren’t there.
To celebrate two years of business, they are holding their two-day anniversary party this Friday and Saturday, the 31st and 1st respectively, offering up free shows of great live music to accompany great food and great beers.
Friday will feature Tone Red starting things off at 5pm, followed by The Sweatband at 7:30. On Saturday, DJ Byrne will be “spinning danceable melodies” at 5 and 8pm, and in between Upstate Trio will jam at 6pm.
Sunday the 2nd will of course be devoted to a Superbowl party, and then on their actual anniversary, Tuesday the 4th, they are promising “Super-Secret Special Deals” all day long. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some amazing, rare beers tapped that day (or this weekend, for that matter) to help celebrate the milestone.
These next few days are going to be great for BTBS, so make sure to stop by and celebrate with them and congratulate them on two great years!
