The Platypus Pub 2nd anniversary party and more, starting tonight
Last week the Platypus Pub pub quietly re-opened after being closed for a few weeks for renovations and a menu overhaul, and this week they are kicking off several days of events including their 2nd anniversary party spanning both Friday and Saturday the 11th and 12th. From their email newsletter:
We are finally finished with our updating and ready to welcome you all back. Come on down and check out our new menu from new Head Chef Robert Stoner while having a pint from our great selection of Fresh Hop, Pumpkin and Octoberfest beers on tap.
Special pricing for our Party!!!!
$1.00 off all draught beers.
$1.00 off all Appetizers.
All Day Friday and Saturday!!!
And tonight, they are hosting Klamath Basin Brewing out of Klamath Falls for a meet the brewer and beer tasting, taking place from 6 to 8pm:
Meet the brewer from Klamath Basin Brewery in Klamath Falls. Head Brewer Cory will be sampling several of his beers and answer questions about their Brewery. We will be serving their Vanilla Porter and Fresh Hop Beers.
And, remember that the Platypus is planning to offer up their own beer. The original plan/announcement was to have it available for their anniversary but it looks like it will be next week now:
We have brewed our first batch of beer and should have it on tap next week. It is a nice IPA with Citra and Mosiac finishing hops. We would like to thank Trever from Bridge 99 Brewery in Bend for letting Tom brew our first pub beer on his brewhouse!!! We look forward to collaborating with him in the future.
Good things happening down there. Be sure to stop in the next few days to help them celebrate!
