Free Summer Sunday Concert and TXT L8R at Les Schwab today (June 9, 2013)
Looking for something to do on another gorgeous day? Today is the Les Schwab Amphitheater’s Free Summer Sunday Concerts (which started last weekend) and the band taking the stage today is Tremoloco, starting at 2:30:
Tremoloco is an eclectic roots band from L.A., some might say purveyors of Gulf Coast Folklorico or Mexican Americana. Their songs tell stories firmly rooted in their beloved L.A. but clearly go beyond to places like Mexicali, Louisiana, Georgia, the Southwest, Laredo and the Yucatan and of course East L.A. Effortlessly, they cross pollinate several genres and styles such as Mexican Folk, Tex-Mex, Country, Norteno, Cumbias, Honky Tonk, Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Roadhouse Rock n Roll.
The doors open at noon, and there will be “On-street parking available, Delish food vendors, bouncy-houses, paddle boards and other activities onsite.”
And later, starting at 5pm, there is another free show following Tremoloco: TXT L8R featuring local favorites Mosley Wotta:
Join us Sunday June 9th and take the pledge to TXT L8R. KTVZ News Channel 21 is sponsoring a FREE show after the Summer Sunday concert with the one and only MOsley WOtta. Be a part of making our roads safer and launching this community wide campaign. There will be food, music and a texting while driving obstacle course.
Be sure to wear sunscreen!
