TEDxBend is back for a second year
The TEDxBend idea-spreading event is back again for a second year, taking place a Summit High School on Saturday, April 6—just over three weeks away. TEDxBend is an independently organized TED event, bringing together amazing speakers who will be taking the stage in the Summit auditorium beginning at 1pm.
Sparked by the celebrated TED conferences worldwide, TEDxBend is our very own locally organized event featuring a dozen talks, demonstrations and performances under 18 minutes each. TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.
And a bit more about the TED format itself:
The two annual TED conferences, on the North American West Coast and in Edinburgh, Scotland, bring together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes or less).
There are a limited number of tickets available, which are selling for $75 this year; and again this year also is the TEDxBash after party (last year tickets were available separately for this event), though details haven’t been posted at the time of this writing.
If you’re a fan of TED, or dynamic, inspiring events similar to the Ignite Bend format, you’ll want to get in on this.
