This Saturday is the first of several upcoming free days at the High Desert Museum, a really good deal that gets you in to the Museum during their regular (winter) hours of 10 to 4 for, yes, free.

The “Free Family Saturday” complimentary admission program supports the educational mission of Mid Oregon Credit Union by providing the community with the opportunity to explore wildlife and living history right in Central Oregon’s backyard.

I’m a big fan of the High Desert Museum so obviously I think this is a really good deal. And if you haven’t been for awhile, they have their relatively-new Butterflies and Hummingbirds exhibit that my kids like (I haven’t been yet myself, sadly).

If you go Saturday, parking is limited, but there is a free shuttle from Morning Star Christian School that will take you to the Museum. (The only limit is that they can’t allow kids small enough to need a car seat.)
