Word from the County came yesterday that the Cascade Lakes Highway will be open to through traffic today at noon. Of course just because it’s the first of June doesn’t mean all the snow is out of the mountains yet, so there are caveats:

1. Beware of spots of ice that may still exist on the road.
2. Parking is limited for access to Devil and Sparks Lakes; no parking allowed on the travel portion of the road.
