Pints for Polio Pub Crawl
Tomorrow (Saturday) there is a fundraising event to raise money to fight polio that almost slipped under the radar: Pints for Polio Pub Walk. (Yes, I wrote “pub crawl” in the title because essentially that’s what it is.) For a $25 fee (with all the proceeds going to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative) you’ll get to visit local breweries and pubs and enjoy six-ounce samples of beer.
Included in the $25 fee (that’s pre-registration, it’ll cost $30 if you show up the day of) are:
- Commemorative End Polio Now pint glass
- Map to the participating pubs
- 6 ounce specialty craft beer tastes at a dozen pubs
- Discount restaurant coupons valued at over $100
- Exciting door prizes.
From 2 to 6pm you check in at The Summit Saloon and then proceed to visit any (or all) of the participating pubs and breweries; and you’ll receive a punchcard for those 6-ounce samplers.
Good beer and a good cause, it’s hard to beat that!
