This Saturday, December 3rd, is the annual Bend Christmas Parade, one of my favorite downtown events (even though it’s usually really cold!). This year’s theme is the “Sights and Sounds of Christmas” and starts at noon.

The Parade route starts at Newport and Harmon on the west side of the river, crosses the Newport Avenue bridge and follows Wall Street through downtown to Franklin, where it then follows Franklin/Riverside (along Drake Park) to end across the bridge at Galveston.

So far the weather for Saturday doesn’t look like it will be as cold as in years past: Accuweather is currently showing a forecast of 43 degrees and mostly sunny.
