Movie: The Love of Beer
This Friday and Saturday, GoodLife Brewing is hosting the Bend premiere showings of “The Love of Beer,” a documentary about women in the craft beer industry, with a special emphasis on Bend Brewing Company‘s own Brewmaster Tonya Cornett. I saw the premier showing of this movie a couple of months ago and I really enjoyed it; even though the focus is on women in the beer industry, it’s going to be of interest to anyone who enjoys craft beer.
GoodLife will be showing the movie inside their warehouse brewery space, and tickets are currently on sale online for $5 (plus a $1.26 processing fee) and directly at GoodLife for $6. Over the two nights (Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd) the showings are at 6pm and 8pm (the movie running time is 72 minutes).
And of course you’ll be able to drink and eat at GoodLife before and after (I don’t know for sure if beer will be available during the showing); in addition to the three of their own beers that they have on tap, they also have a solid list of guest taps to choose from.
It’s a good movie, there’s beer involved, and it’s none too expensive. Who’s going?
Sounds great!
