BendFilm (2011)
It’s that time of year for Bend’s premiere (and only) film festival, BendFilm. The independent festival, which runs from the 6th through the 9th this year (Thursday through Sunday), “celebrates the brave voice of independent cinema through films, lectures and education.” This is the eighth year it’s been running.
The quality of films submitted this year was off the charts. It’s been a fun challenge to pick the best of the best to feature at this year’s festival. Watch this year’s films at Oxford Hotel, McMenamins, Sisters Movie House (2 screens), Regal (2 screens) and Tower Theatre. Festival guides can be found around town and in The Bulletin on September 26. Information about the films, parties, jurors, panels and everything else BendFilm can be found on our website.
Stop by The Hub at Liberty Theater in downtown Bend for all things BendFilm. Tickets, passes, merchandise, filmmakers and friendly faces who can answer your questions can all be found at The Hub during the festival.
In addition to the films (for which you can buy tickets here) they are also offering a number of panels that are free and open to the public, and of course there are parties as well (not all of which are free).
