Saturday, September 24th, the first of Oregon’s “Fresh Hop Tastivals” kicks off in Sisters with the Sisters Fresh Hop Festival: from noon until 9pm, this autumnal beer fest takes place under the tent at Village Green Park and features beers that are made with fresh hops, beers like Deschutes Brewery’s Hop Trip—freshly-picked hops are added directly to the beer instead of being dried first.

Admission is $5 for a mug and $1 for each 4 oz. taste. Food vendors and live music all day and the best brew in the west. Children are welcome. Sponsored by Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce. For more info email jeri@sisterscountry.com

I don’t yet know what beers will be pouring at this event but I’ve sent off an email to find out. I do know what breweries they had last year so that may be a good representation, and if you like fresh hop beers (I know I do), then you’ll want to attend this fest.
