Bend Brewfest (2011)
This year’s Bend Brewfest is looking to be the best yet. Taking place at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in the Old Mill District, this year’s Fest is taking place over three days (this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the 18th through 20th) and is featuring (by my count) over 90 beers this year (most breweries are bringing two beers each, plus some have special X-Taps as well).
Thursday and Friday the hours are from 3pm until 11pm, and on Saturday they are noon til 11pm. Admission is pretty standard for these events: $10 gets you a (required) souvenir mug plus five tasting tokens, and additional tokens are $1 each.
There of course will be food available, and in addition to beer there are a variety of wine and ciders as well.
Seriously this looks to be a great event this year. Most of the Central Oregon breweries are well represented, and even the Central Oregon Homebrewers have a beer that will be pouring, a collaboration “Oregon Export Lager” they brewed with Silver Moon. And there are many other great beers on tap this weekend. Don’t miss out.
