Shady GroOove was created in 2014 by bassist Mike Beaulieu after bringing together the musical talents of three other fellow Central Oregon musicians whom he had separate musical collaborations with over the previous eight years. The chemistry was strong right from the get-go and the band continues to evolve and grow with each performance. Creating material from a diverse blend of artists such as Grateful Dead, Medeski/Martin & Wood, Ryan Adams, Michael Jackson, String Cheese Incident, The Band, Phish, Weather Report, as well as their own contribution of original music, the result is a bold, adventurous style that strives to push the envelope while keeping the listener engaged and entertained.
