At the ripe old age of 24, this Oregon-grown tunesmith is already celebrating his 11th year of songwriting. In addition to his current work in the Portland-based Lasers All the Time, Talbot has produced a wealth of stripped-down solo material. With influences ranging from Kelly Joe Phelps, Doc Watson, Bill Frisell and Elliott Smith, he combines furious finger-style guitar work with thoughtful, melodic vocal lines to create a truly unique and wonderful sound. This budding songwriter is a wonderful addition to the Portland folk scene.
