CHICO ROCK

A cozy quintet with a penchant for layered harmonies, The Rugs play their own kind of throwback rock.

Led by the songwriting of Jeremy Gerrard (The Amblers) on lead guitar and vocals, The Rugs combine the talents of Nolan Ford (The Secret Stolen) on keys, vocals, and dance moves; Andrew Alvarez on bass, vocals, and coconut water; Austin King on drums and physique; and the lovely Katrina Rodriguez on vocals, guitar, the occasional ukulele, and party-time. With particular attention to dynamics and melodies, The Rugs straddle several genres, producing alternative rock music with the occasional pop flair.
