What’s not to like about an event in which you can sample a variety of good ol’ American spirits, served with a multicourse menu?
We welcome the evening’s host, Author and Spirits Expert Hoke Harden, to guide us through a spirited gathering of bourbon. We’ll be serving: I.W. Harper, Knob Creek Single Barrel, Maker’s 46, Old Forester 1870, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and McMenamins’ exclusive Woodford Reserve Cosmic Selection.
We’ll pair it all with these carefully curated courses:
Hors d’oeuvres
Steakhouse bruschetta: toasted baguette with bleu cheese crème grilled New York steak strips, diced tomatoes and basil chiffonade
Filo cups with curried crab
Hummus-stuffed cherry tomatoes
Truffled sea scallops on parsnip parmesan puree with micro greens
Salad
Smoked Oregon Steelhead on mustard greens with goat cheese, whiskey-soaked craisins, roasted pecans and Champagne vinaigrette
Entrée
Blue cheese and bourbon-candied bacon bone-in ribeye, served with brown sugar-honey whipped yams, and sautéed rapini
Dessert
Bourbon apple bread pudding topped with fresh-whipped cream and southern praline sauce
