First Friday Art Hop and other happenings
It’s the first Friday in April, and that means in addition to the usual First Friday happenings going on in downtown and the Old Mill, it’s Downtown Bend’s Spring Art Hop! Think “First Friday Art Walk” amped up to be the biggest one of the year, with over 60 businesses participating. The usual First Friday details apply: it takes place from 5 to 9pm and is free—many businesses, in addition to hosting special art exhibits, also feature free refreshments, often including wine or beer, and even live music.
And Deschutes Brewery is featuring their “Last Stop on the Art Hop” tonight from 7 to 11: “Mark us down as your last stop on the Art Walk for April 5th in downtown bend! We’ve got specialty beers, tasty food specials, an acoustic live set by Chase Mersereau, live music by Jacuzzi and art displayed by local artist George Lepp. We’ll see you at the Tap Room upstairs from 7-11pm. Cheers!!”
Over on the eastside, Worthy Brewing’s Grand Opening is taking place from 4 to 9, where they’ll be celebrating with live music, a pig roast, a new beer, a special dedication for their new Hop House (greenhouse and hop planters), and more.
