Central Oregon Wine Trail?
The latest e-newsletter from winery Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards talks about the “Central Oregon Wine Trail” which is a great idea but I can’t find an official reference to it anywhere (yet). Maybe they’re just getting it started? At any rate I think it’s a great idea if so, we already have the Bend Ale Trail and with the growing number of wine destinations in our area it makes total sense.
Here’s what they say about it:
Spend a day on the Central Oregon wine trail! Visit wineries, vineyards and boutique wine shops. Indulge in wine tasting, gourmet food menu items and amazing music performed by our own talented local musicians. Each of the owners along the trail has a passion for wine, years of wine knowledge and exciting stories to share.
Start your adventure in beautiful Sisters Oregon at the Cork Cellars or The Open Door, where you will find a wide selection of both boutique and reserve wines available. Be sure to include a gourmet cheese platter! Then head out to Holmes road and enjoy a scenic drive to Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards. The first vineyard/winery in Deschutes County, excitedly expecting their first full harvest this year! Growing cold, hardy hybrid grapes, and thrilled to share their passion and award winning wines.
Enjoy another scenic drive down Lower Bridge over to Culver and visit the founding vineyard and winery of Central Oregon, Maragas Winery! Specializing in artisan, hand crafted wines. These wines will excite even the most avid wine enthusiast! From there head down to Bend and stop in at Volcano Vineyards where they hand craft single vineyard varietals and luscious premium blends. Don’t miss out on their Sangria! And what better way to finish the day than getting Naked with the fun folks at Naked Winery! Their mission is to produce premium class Oregon and Washington wines.
Be sure to pack that camera, and capture some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere in Central Oregon!
