McMenamins’ Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day
Today McMenamins Old St. Francis School is having their “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” party all day long, featuring free live music, food and drink specials and lots of Irish revelry. Yes, it’s kind of a wonky idea but it’s fun and offers up something fun to do in the waning days of summer. (Next weekend is Oktoberfest, after all!)
The music schedule looks like:
- 1:30 p.m.: Bend Fire Dept. and their roving Irish pipes
- 2 p.m.: Five Pint Mary · Celtic Rock (O’Kanes Square)
- 4 p.m.: The Tune Dawgs · Irish Fiddle (Roving)
- 6 p.m.: Moon Mountain Ramblers · Bluegrass and Alt. Country (O’Kanes Square)
The food and drink specials are Irish themed of course: Irish Reubens; MacSleyne Irish Stew; McMenamins Irish Stout on tap/nitro; Irish coffees! And more.
And of course you could finish the night with cigars and Irish whiskey around a firepit behind O’Kane’s. Could be a good evening!
