Join us for our monthly Charity Pint Night at Worthy Brewing!

We’ll be hosting Central Oregon Locavore for the evening and look forward to having them onsite the first Tuesday of September, 9/3/19.

The first Tuesday of every month we host a pint night in support of a local charity or cause. From 4pm to close on the designated day of that month $1 of every pint sold will be donated to the chosen charity. We love our Bend community and love being able to give back and support a variety of great causes.“From Here (the Moon) to Eternity (the end of the Universe)”

Come hear our resident Astronomer-of-the-People, Dr. Scott Fisher, speak about astronomical topics near and far. In this chapter of his on-going lecture series at the Hopservatory, Dr. Fisher will start by sharing information about our nearest neighbor the Moon and will end with a journey to the end of the Universe. For the Moon we will talk about how it fits into the larger Cosmic Perspective and we will discuss how it formed and why it may be critical to life forming on Earth. For the Universe itself we will delve into the current theories about how it may end with an emphasis on what data we have to support these wild ideas. This public-level lecture will be full of interesting images and videos presented at a level all can understand.
