Tonight is the first night of Alive After Five, the free music series taking place in the Old Mill District from 5 to 8pm. Toots and the Maytals is the featured band, and besides the music there are also food vendors, wine, and beer from 10 Barrel Brewing.

So it’s very similar to Thursday’s Munch and Music in that regard. It’s taking place each Wednesday from today through August 8th, and here’s the lineup:

• July 18: Toots and the Maytals
• July 25: Laila Biali
• August 1: Johnny Clegg
• August 8: Dirty Dozen Brass Band

It all takes place on the “Hot Pond Loop” over by Flatbread Pizza.
