Today: Beer release benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association
Here’s another reason why Bend is such a great beer community: Worthy Brewing today is releasing a special beer, named “Machine Gun Maggie Imperial IPA”, that they brewed in collaboration with the homebrewers from Aspen Ridge Retirement. You may have heard about those homebrewers, as they have been getting some press lately—and winning awards for their homebrewed beer.
In teaming up with Worthy (and the Central Oregon Homebrewers Organization) to brew Machine Gun Maggie, they are able to sell the beer to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association (additional details here), and today’s release event at Worthy from 5 to 9pm will feature 100% of sales proceeds on the beer going to the Association.
Worthy’s not the only one selling Maggie to benefit Alzheimer’s. You will also be able to find the beer at the Platypus Pub, Rat Hole Brewing, and both Brother Jon’s locations, and at each one 50% of the sales of the beer will also go to benefit the Association.
So if you don’t get a chance to visit Worthy (today or otherwise), be sure to find this beer at one of those other locations and drink for a good cause.
