Elysian Brewing’s Great Pumpkin Roadshow: This Thursday, Oct. 23
If you’re familiar at all with Seattle’s Elysian Brewing Company, then you probably know one of the types of beer they are well-known for are pumpkin ales. So much so, in fact, that every year they host their Great Pumpkin Beer Festival in Seattle—a terrific brewfest that I’ve been to twice now, and it’s one of my favorite beer festivals (of course I love pumpkin beer).
If this sounds intriguing to you at all, then listen up: Elysian Brewing has their “Great Pumpkin Roadshow” (a much smaller, traveling version of this pumpkin beerfest) coming to Bend this Thursday, October 23, taking over the Platypus Pub from 6 to 8pm (or 9pm, I’m not entirely certain of the duration). Here’s the word from the Brewery:
Couldn’t make it up to Seattle for Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Beer Fest this year? Good news!! For the 1st time ever, Elysian is bringing their Great Pumpkin Roadshow to Bend!!
Known for being the nation’s most pumpkin obsessed Brewery, Elysian just held their 10th Annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival in Seattle, where they featured over 80 pumpkin beers on tap for a crowd of 1800 people! For the Great Pumpkin Roadshow, Elysian chooses one location per city to bring the GPBF to you!
The Platypus Pub will feature 11 or more of Elysian’s limited release pumpkin beers on tap!! The majority of these beers are extremely limited and this will be the only place you’ll find them in Bend.
Orange attire and costumes encouraged!!
And here is the taplist they are featuring (plus there will be four others), of Elysian’s own 11 beers:
- Night Owl Pumpkin Ale
- Dark O’ the Moon Pumpkin Stout
- Great Pumpkin Imperial
- Punkuccino Coffee Pumpkin Ale
- Lost Abbey Collaboration Sardonic Dark Pumpkin Wit
- Gourdfather Pumpkin Barleywine
- Hansel & Gretel Ginger Pumpkin Pilsner
- Orange Is The New Black Chocolate & Orange Pumpkin Stout
- Mr. Yuck Pumpkin Sour
- P. Smoov Nitro Pumpkin Cream Ale
- Gourdgia on mind Pecan Peach Pumpkin Amber
This will be a great event and these are all great pumpkin beers, so don’t miss out! I would love to see a big turnout for Bend so Elysian will bring it back here again next year, so come on out Thursday night if you can. You won’t regret it! (Unless you hate pumpkin beers or something crazy like that.)
