January Art Walk (First Friday) is tonight
It’s the first Friday of January (and of 2014) and that means Downtown Bend comes alive from 5 to 9pm with the monthly Art Walk, where business stay open late to showcase special art exhibits, and many will also host live music and offer up complimentary food and wine (and sometimes beer and other spirits) as well. With the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having I imagine it’ll be a lively night, not too chill at all for walking.
In addition to the usual Art Walk festivities you’ll find, here is some additional details on specific spots/events:
The Wine Shop has live music with Burnin’ Moonlight from 7 to 8:30 and of course you can enjoy a nice variety of wines and beers (they have a good taplist on draft as well).
Patagonia is featuring artist Mike Putnam and beers from Silver Moon Brewing kicking off at 5:30. Silver Moon will be pouring their VooDoo Dog ISR.
Crow’s Feet Commons is holding their Mt. Bachelor Aprés Ski Bash from 6:30 to 10pm, featuring “Firepits, glowing orbs, El Sancho Taco Cart and tasty Deschutes Brews” to accompany the West African-styled world music from Shokoto.
Dojo is hosting music from Acoustic Minds starting at 9pm tonight. It’s a free show and after 10pm goes 21 and over only.
The Blacksmith has Derek Michael Marc performing from 6 to 8pm.
10 Below will be featuring jazz music with Georges Bouhey and the Cosmopolitans starting at 5:30.
