The Bite of Bend is this weekend
This Saturday and Sunday, the 23rd and 24th, is the annual Bite of Bend, the annual food and drink festival that’s all about celebrating the foods of Bend. This year is their 10th annual edition of the Bite, and it’s taking over downtown Bend with a ton of things happening—including a Beer Run, live music, the Northwest Spirits & Mixology Show, the “Top Chef” competition (which used to be called “Iron Chef”), a family/kids area, and of course the “bites” themselves.
The Bite of Bend’s restaurants, cafes and other eateries offer an array of specialty foods including “bite size” taster options! A fantastic way to experience the Bite of Bend is to taste different foods from various vendors. From Asian-influenced bites to amazing pizza or Mexican-inspired cuisines, it will all be at the Bite of Bend.
The hours are 11am to 10pm Saturday and 11 to 7pm Sunday. The overall event is free, though of course you’ll be spending money on food and drinks, so plan accordingly.
As for the Northwest Spirits & Mixology Show, there is a separate $15 entrance fee to that which gets you one drink; once in, you’ll be able to sample from over 150 different spirits. I don’t see on their site if any of that costs extra, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did (booze isn’t cheap, after all!).
Also don’t forget to check out the music lineup to see who’s playing at the Bite this weekend.
