First Friday and it’s nice out!
Tonight’s the First Friday Art Walk in downtown and the Old Mill, and I think it’s the first really nice day of the year for it—81 degrees out right now and it should still be in the 60s later—so I imagine there will be tons of people out tonight.
And for good reason: galleries and other businesses are staying open late, with special art exhibits to show off, and many of those businesses are offering free refreshments (appetizers, wine, and so on) and even live music. Everything’s going on from 5 to 9, and if you’re going downtown tonight I’d advise parking a few blocks away (if you can) and walking everywhere.
And, don’t forget the GETIT Shuttle runs on First Fridays, shuttling people back and forth between downtown and the Old Mill: it runs from 5 to 9:30 and leaves from 900 Wall St. beginning at 5. The loop is about an hour and is free for riders, and shuttles leave every half hour.
