What is YPN?
Established in June of 2006, the Bend Young Professionals Network has become a vital part of Bend’s business community – and now boasts over 140 members. YPN events are open to both Chamber members and non-members, and are geared towards those aged 40 and under. Past event hosts have included, Columbia River Bank, Bend Memorial Clinic, Century Insurance, The Shops at the Old Mill, and more.

The purpose of the Young Professionals Network is to provide young professionals with top quality networking, community involvement and professional development opportunities in a fun, professional and friendly environment.

The cost for each event is $5 for Chamber members, and $7 for non-members (registered in advance… the prices double at the door). For this low price, attendees enjoy beverages, food, door prizes, networking games and more.

The monthly networking meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (except in November when the meeting will be held on November 14th, and in December when there will be no meeting due to the holidays). The events are held at a different host location every month.   You can go to the Chamber calendar of events to see where each meeting will be held, and also register for the event.

What’s Next?
As part of YPN’s commitment to support all members of the community, the group will host a Winter Clothes drive for the Bend La-Pine Schools’ Family Access Network on November 14th. Attendees at the November networking event will be encouraged to bring new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for children of all ages. YPN volunteers will collect the donations and hand them over to the Family Access Network to be distributed locally this winter.
