Flu shots

Flu season is coming up, and that means flu shots. If you’re looking to get your inoculation this year, you have several options:

  • Bend Memorial Clinic is having their Flu Shot Clinics on October 6th and 12th 13th (Saturday and Friday Saturday, respectively) from 8am to 3pm. It’s at their main clinic (1501 NE Medical Center Drive) and only cost $25. For more info, call 541-382-2811. (Thanks, Shannon)
  • The Aging Well Living Well Flu Shot Fest and Health Fair is Friday, October 5, 2007 from 9am to 2pm. It’s at the Bend Senior Center (1600 SE Reed Market Road), and flu shots cost $30.
  • I think I heard KTVZ say that Newport Market was having flu shots on October 6th, also, for $30—but I can’t swear to it and I can’t seem to find anything online about it right now. Anyone?

    Flu shots will be provided for adults and children over the age of 9 years at the following locations:

    Oct. 1 – Monday at Newport Avenue Market in Bend, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 2 – Tuesday at Rays Food Place in Sisters, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 3 – Wednesday at Wild Oats in Bend, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 4 – Thursday at the Rays Food Place in La Pine, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 5 – Friday at the Great American Furniture Store in Redmond, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 6 – Saturday at Newport Avenue Market in Bend, 11 am-4 pm
    Oct. 8 – Monday at the Gilchrist Restaurant in Gilchrist, 11:30-1 pm
    Oct. 15 – Monday at Newport Avenue Market in Bend, 1-6 pm
    Oct. 17 – Wednesday at High Lakes Health Care – Eastside Clinic in Bend, 12 – 4 pm
    Oct. 18 – Thursday at Rays Food Place in Bend, 1 – 6 pm
    Oct. 24 – Wednesday at High Lakes Health Care – Eastside Clinic in Bend, 4 – 6 pm
    Nov. 1 – Thursday at the Redmond Senior Center in Redmond, 1-6 pm
    Nov. 14 – Wednesday at High Lakes Health Care – Eastside Clinic in Bend, 4 – 6 pm

    The cost for each flu shot is $30. Medicare B, Clear Choice and Regence BlueCross BlueShield are all accepted.
